This is my fund raising page for Kidney Cancer UK, Orphanages of Bangladesh, Comic Relief and Sport Relief!
My fund raising started seriously when our lovely Dad was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer at just 57 years old in 2001. Dad passed away in 2002 and I threw myself in to painting a mural in Ipswich Hospital, Neo Natal unit, the East Anglian Children's Hospice, as well as am abseil from the top of Ipswich Hospital! I was stunned together with a solid team, including my sister, her partner and my husband to have raised over £10,000 for KCUK!
Recent fund raising events have included raising over £200 for Sport Relief and £300 for Comic Relief, with baby bump painting as part of a National Team. However, The combined team off 44 Professional Face Painters across the country raised over £8,000!
Also helping our local Indian restaurant, The Blue Naan in Felixstowe, with my donation of a free face painting party donated to their charity night in aid of Orphanages in Bangladesh.
This page is dedicated to the fund raising I have under taken for Kidney Cancer UK. I still have more photos to add and will be including some photos of my husband Kevin, sister Teresa and her partner Charlie during the abseil we all took part in. Thanks also to my friends who really helped support me during such a traumatic time, especially Nadine Dooley and Jo Keightley for all their hard work! As a result it was a very proud day when Mum and I presented the cheque for over £10,000 to Nicholas Owen (Patron of KCUK) in 2002!
